Marinda enrolled at Stellenbosch University for a B Econ degree and has three third year subjects, namely Industrial Relations, Business Economics and Labour Law. She also completed a variety of certificates at the University of Pretoria, UNISA, Tshwane University of Technology, Ashridge Business School (UK) and Cornell University (USA). She is a qualified Facilitator and Assessor in customer service as well as health and safety, first aid and basic firefighting.

Marinda filled a variety of roles in her long career. She, tongue in the cheek, refers to herself as a ‘Jack of all trades, Master of many’.  She has solid Corporate Compliance, HR, employee relations, CCMA, customer service and training experience in the Security Services, Automotive, Call Centre / Business Process Outsourcing as well as fast food / Quick Service Restaurant / Hospitality industries.  She also has experience in a multi-national company.

As the founder of On Point Business Consulting, specialising in HR, labour relations, business processes, customer relations and training, she operates as an independent service provider and closely collaborates with Helene Olivier and the Olivier Consulting team. Her professional relationship with the firm reflects her reliability, technical competence and commitment to excellence in the various areas where she operates.

Marinda has a great sense of humour and is passionate about people. She is considerate and caring.  She has experience in a fast-passed, high-stress environment and can operate individually and in a team. She is adaptable and give good attention to detail.  She is tenacious in insuring task completion and conclusion of projects.

Excellence is the name of her game.

In her free time Marinda is an enthusiastic nature and landscape photographer and has the somewhat weird hobby of driving mountain passes, preferably gravel passes. Currently she is in the 440’s and aiming for her 500^th pass.  She has a keen interest in volunteering and has proven experience with various volunteer organisations. She is a freelance writer who has, for seven years, submitted articles to a monthly community publication of which she was also the sub-editor.
